Making room for a weekend cup

A small pause can be made from a familiar recipe and a comfortable place to sit.

Choose familiarity

Use a coffee recipe that you already enjoy. A slower morning does not need a more demanding method or a new set of equipment. Prepare the familiar cup carefully and leave the experiment for another occasion. The point is to make room for the experience of drinking it.

Give the cup a place

Clear enough room for your drink and one thing you want beside it, perhaps a book or a notebook. Choose a comfortable chair and let the coffee cool. Leave the scale and recipe at the brewing corner. A simple separation between making and drinking can change the feeling of the routine.

Notice one detail

Pay attention to the cup surface, the aroma or the light falling on the table. You do not need to turn the pause into a task list. One brief observation is enough. When the cup is finished, clean the tools and leave the corner ready so that the next ordinary morning is easier.
